Honnoring Cindy Cargle

For Jessica in this sad time... "I remember when you dressed me like a nurse for Halloween. I remember those great big bear hugs. I remember when we'd go for walks with Blackie down the dirt road and talked about all the wonderful things that were going to happen..." click here to check out more!

A Years Difference

This is the self portrait I edited last year for Photo Imaging III. Going back and taking Photo Imaging II again there are some over lapping techniques that I'm able to see a drastic difference in. Above is the image from a year ago... and below it is the image from this year... Such a difference in skill alone... that there is what I'm aiming for!

Retouching Self Portrait

(Before)
(After)
This is me worked up in Photoshop. I did a sharpening, airbrush, and retouch layers. I changed the eyes, added eye liner, shadow, mascara, lipstick, and dyed the hair. Of course all with Photoshop.

High Rise Architecture

This is the Digital copy of my High rise for architecture. This is the new NASCAR Hall of Fame Museum in Charlotte, NC. It is still under construction and plans to open in 2010!

Madison

Today in Architecture class we critiqued our low rise, and talked about how to fix the high rise with Photoshop. We are also planning to go to Madison GA to see the historic buildings they have in that beautiful town. I picked to photograph The Hunter House. If you might like to check out a few more photos of Madison-Morgan County GA click here!

The DIVA!

Thursday I was hanging out at Fratelli Studios while they were shooting for Olive Garden. I have to say working with a lot of food will make you not hungry after a while. While working with this set I have learned a lot about the Diva Lite. It has a very nice light and I really like the way it makes the subjects look. However, you have to use a long shutter speed so even though its a very nice light, it's not for everything.

Retouching

Today in Photo Imaging we worked on Retouching. This is just a sample photo that we worked on in class, so it's not mine. We learned how to Airbrush, Sharpen, and add our own touches to a simple portrait. Check it out and see what you think.

Day One

(The photo above is NOT the one they shot today just one I found online.)
Today was my first day hanging with the Studio where I'm doing my internship. They were shooting a product shot for the new Orange Fanta bottles. Matt was very nice and showed me around and introduced me to everyone, then put me to work. I like to stay busy so I was happy to do what ever the asked... They showed me a few tricks and even let me in on some secrets already. I can tell you now I'm going to LEARN A LOT!!!

Photo Imaging II

Today was my first day in Photo Imaging II... now I have taken this class with another teacher before and have chosen to do it again because I feel i will learn much more with the current teacher.  I have had Mr. Jones before and know he expects nothing but the best from us.  He has already given us our first assignment and it is to compose two or more photos together. Here is a before and after of one of the photos I will be turning in.

internship

Well this quarter we are doing our internships. I unfortunately got the bad news today that Dennis Reggie will not be who I intern with. I now have to think of some other options. If anyone has any ideas please feel free to share!
